We at Saint Margaret Mary are committed to Catholic Education, developing faith life, building community and Christian service. We endeavor to create a Catholic School climate that fosters respect for each person, develops a healthy self-concept, and is conducive to learning. We offer a curriculum that develops the total person through religious studies, science, mathematics, social studies, language arts, the arts, and physical activity.
We envision a Catholic School that will assist and develop the student in becoming a person of faith with an open and eager intellect capable of embracing God and the world with courage, love, and understanding. The student will grow in the necessary skills to be effective in each step toward maturity as a Catholic Christian.
Appreciation for the arts and leisure assists the student to become a person open to the world and the opportunities for growth that it offers.

The student grows in becoming a global citizen, developing an understanding of and a responsibility to the world, the environment, and humanity.
Continued support and development of a healthy self-concept assist the student toward success in academic and social settings. Students learn best when they possess a positive view of themselves as persons capable of succeeding.
Knowledge of science develops the student's ability to employ logic, perceive relationships, and maintain awareness of current scientific development.
Learning and living the teachings of the Catholic faith, through emphasis of Gospel values throughout the curriculum and participation in formal religion classes, liturgy, prayer experiences, and community service, will empower the student to grow in a life of deeper faith.
Proclaiming the Gospel is a perennial task and joy for the Church of Christ, Jesus. Catholic Education is an expression of this mission entrusted by Jesus to the Church he founded. Through education the Church seeks to prepare its members to proclaim the good news and to translate this proclamation into action (to teach as Jesus did). Our School endeavors to create an atmosphere of Christian awareness within a program of academic enrichment. Realizing that parents carry the basic responsibility to educate their children, we endeavor to supplement their efforts by providing experiences conducive to maximum spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth. Within our school, the programs strive to recognize the potential of each student and the student's right to an education commensurate with his or her abilities. Being aware that faith in our Catholic Christian values gives meaning to life, our staff aims to present the Christian message through witness and doctrine. Faculty and students endeavor to become a faith community founded on intellectual growth. Recognizing our personal giftedness, in the light of world needs, we wish not only to grow in academic learning, but awareness and empathy to touch the world community through service.

Our children prepare with all the children of our parish for the reception of the sacraments. Preparation for and reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist (Communion) takes place within the second grade. Parents are required to participate in scheduled parent preparation meetings for both Sacraments in order for their children to be eligible to participate in these Sacraments.
Catholic parents choosing to live a life of faith within the Catholic Community and pass their faith onto their children should be attending Sunday worship weekly.
Children in grade 3 and older who have not received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist attend an intensive sacramental preparation class for parents and children in addition to their daily religion classes.
It is the parents' responsibility to notify the School Office and the classroom teacher of the need for reception of the Sacraments. Readiness will be determined by the mutual consent of the parents, the teacher, the RE director, principal and the pastor.
A baptismal certificate for all children not baptized at Saint Margaret Mary Church must be presented to the School Office at the time of registration.

Saint Margaret Mary School is totally supported by the Saint Margaret Mary School parents and subsidized by the Parish Family. Parents are required to pay tuition, give financial support to the Parish, and give support to our fund raising.
