We are looking for men and women of all ages, who have “hair to spare,” to participate in this year’s Shamrock Shave. Last year’s Shave raised over $27,000 (over $78,000 the last three years!) and this year’s event promises to be even bigger and better! PARISHIONERS: Plan Now for the 4th Annual Shamrock Shave!
Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Fourth Annual Saint Margaret Mary Shamrock Shave to be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 starting at 5:30 PM in the St. Margaret Mary Education Center Gymnasium. All are invited to watch fellow parishioners get “shorn” in solidarity with the needy and suffering.
Don’t miss this great fun-filled family event and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style with the traditional Parish Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner, food, drink, raffles, a Jig Contest, and prizes for the Best Irish Costumes. Don’t miss the great entertainment from local bands and Irish dancers. Of course, we also have the “MANE EVENT,” which starts at 6:45 PM. Support the members of your Parish Family having their heads shaved to raise money for those in need. Admission to the event is $2 for adults and $1 for children. Be there to root on our Parish “Shavees” and continue to celebrate a great Saint Margaret Mary tradition!

In the last four years, the St. Margaret Mary Shamrock Shave, through the generous support of our shavee pledges, raised over $78,000 for needy families in our community and those suffering from cancer. This year, the recipients of all event proceeds will be (2) extremely worthwhile charities that will fulfill our mission of helping the needy in our community and those suffering from cancer. They are the St. Vincent DePaul Society and Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
