Previously, she has worked in the Rockford Diocese, as parish DRE (3 of those years at Saint Margaret Mary as DRE), Parish Pastoral Associate, Instructor for Diocesan Catechetical Office, Instructor in Ministry Formation Program, and 5 years in Public Education, teaching High School English.
Mrs. Fuller(1940 - 2007)

Kathleen A. Fuller, 67, of Algonquin, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. She was born Jan. 22, 1940, in Chicago, to Walter and Kathleen Riedl, both of whom died while she was young. She graduated summa cum laude from DePaul University and taught high school English to high-risk students.

In 1965, she married Ronald Fuller. They and their two sons moved in 1972 to Algonquin, where they established a State Farm Insurance Agency. She earned a master's degree in religious education from Mundelein College and had worked for the church for the past 25 years, the last 12 years as the pastoral associate for St. Margaret Mary Parish in Algonquin. A terrific writer, she wrote a syndicated column called "Slings, Arrows, and Owies" in the 1970s. She worked very hard caring for her husband, who suffered from diabetes and other complications.  In 1998, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.

In 2001, the cancer returned, and she courageously fought the cancer for the past six years. She died peacefully Aug. 4 in the hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Michael Fuller of Mundelein Seminary and David (Tracie) Fuller of McHenry; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Devon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron, in 1999.

Memorials may be made in her name to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
