Young Adult Ministry

Our Ministry for Young Adults focuses on those in their 20's and 30's
and is called 20's to 30ish. It is planned to provide both spiritual
and social activities.
Spiritual Development
We find that Charis Ministries (located in Chicago) provides many great spiritual activities. They have Speaker's Series, Small Group Leadership Workshops, Seekers Retreats (for those who still are putting together religion and life) plus a variety of other types of retreats including Service Trips to aid the needy, Lenten Days of Prayer, Special Masses,
and even Pilgrimages. To keep up on the offerings offered we can connect you to this website: www.charisministries.org
Social Activities
Watch for information about Parish Social Activities for this group.
Shortly, we will be beginning some Social Activities.

Why Catholic? Discussion Groups
Why Catholic? is a discussion program in the model of “Renew.” It meets for six sessions during Lent and again in the Fall. The sessions include prayer, reflection, and discussion. Groups meet in homes or at the parish.
The 20's to 30ish “Why Catholic?” Groups will meet in local restaurants so you can snack and be refreshed. Details will come in February about the dates and times. The specific focus on
the Why Catholic? series is to reflect and learn what the Catholic Church really believes. Sometimes, we get our theology only from the
secular press, which itself is looking for answers rather than giving information. The information input for the series comes from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, but the discussion helps us understand and see how this fits into a person's life. It is a good
way to get an adult answer of what the church believes with an explanation why it believes and practical suggestions to put it into practice.
