High School
There are a variety of activities and events for the high school students in our area. All high schoolers are welcome to attend any event and bring friends. Just note that most events require a permission slip, which can be downloaded from the side bar or here.Regular Events
TARGET Team stands for Teens Accepting Real God Experiences Together and meets almost every Monday from 7-9pm. We meet in the Youth Room in the Ministry Center to dicuss important hot topics, learn more about our faith, play some games, and even have a little to eat. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come and join us. For upcoming dates, please see the calendar.
Confirmation Formation is held every year to prepare freshman high school students to recieve the sacrament. For more info about the process see the Confirmation page or call the Youth Ministry Office. Formation Registation is open for the Confirmation Class of 2011.
Sundays at Sunrise is held every 4th Sunday of the month where a group of youth and adults visit the residents at Sunrise Assited Living in Crystal Lake.
Peer Ministry Team (PMT) & Leaders Accepting New Demands (LAND) is ongoing throughout the year. The calendar has dates for meetings for 2009-2010 members. PMT and LAND are opportunities for leadership within the parish and among peers. The application process starts at the end of summer each year and is open to any involved high school student. Here I Am, Lord Conference (HIAL) is a conference held in St. Charles at St. Patrick's. The conference focuses on vocations awareness and aims to help youth find the vocation that God is calling them to. The 2011 national conference will be held on March 4th-7th. Stuebenville Youth Conferences are held every summer. Come to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ in the Power of the Holy Spirit through this powerful weekend. For more information contact the Youth Ministry Office.
Confirmation Retreats are a required part of the Confirmation Formation process. St. Margaret Mary hosts a day retreat and the Confirmation Overnight Retreat (COR). For information about either, please contact the Youth Ministry Office.
National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) is held every other year for youth in leadership positions. The 2011 conference will be announced soon.
World Youth Day will be held in 2011 in Madrid, Spain. We are planning right now for our pilgrimage. If you are interesting in coming along or just want some more info, please call or stop by the Youth Ministry Office.
