There are a variety of opportunities for leadership in Youth Ministry that are fun and exciting. Listed here are some of the opportinites we provide.

High School Opportunities
Peer Ministry Team (PMT) & Leaders Accepting New Demands (LAND) is ongoing throughout the year. The calendar has dates for meetings for 2009-2010 members. PMT and LAND are opportunities for leadership within the parish and among peers. The application process starts at the end of summer each year and is open to any involved high school student. For more info on each team, contact the Youth Ministry Office.
CORT (Confirmation Overnight Retreat Team) is open to all High School youth Sophmore and above who have been confirmed. Meetings and planning begins in November to prepare for the overnight retreat in January. Youth prepare skits, talks & witnesses, and small group activities & discussion.
Camp WOW Counselors are the High School teens who lead small groups, give talks and witness, and perform skits for Junior High youth at Camp WOW in June. They also have a good understanding of their Catholic identity and are willing and able to connect and help our junior highers grow in their faith. The application process starts around December and interviews in the beginning of the year. Counselors consist of High Schoolers from participating parishes in the area.
Young Adult Opportunities
Many of our Young Adults come back to help with various events throughout the year. Many of them have been influenced and inspired by these events while still in High School or Junior High and are welcomed back to help the Youth Ministers administer and run events. Here are a few events where "YMTs" (Youth Ministers in Training) have helped at:
Chaperones Many Young Adults come back and help chaperone many of our events. We always need chaperones and drivers! If you would like to help, please give the office a call and let us know! Check the calendar for upcoming events!
COR (Confirmation Overnight Retreat) Many Young Adults that have experienced the retreat have come back to meet up with and encourage younger friends on CORT. The YMTs here help behind the scenes with set-up, technology, and support for the High School Team. If you wish to help out at COR, please call the Youth Ministry Office and talk to Teresa.
Camp WOW Camp is an intense leadership experience for our young adults. They are in charge of setting up many activities to allow more time for counselors to interact with campers. They are also in charge of videography, photography, technology, activity sign-up, supervision, counselor support, and also facilitate days with a Youth Minister and help direct adult volunteers. There is always a lot going on at camp, so we need lots of hands to help make sure things run smoothly. If you wish to help at Camp WOW, please call the Youth Ministry Office and talk to Teresa.
